SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — There’s a backstabber on the loose on San Antonio’s North Side.

San Antonio police say a 15-year-old boy went to walk to a store down the street on McCullough Avenue near Oblate Drive at around 3:30 p.m. on February 8th.

On his way there, police say someone came up and stabbed him in the back.

The boy returned to the house he was at and asked someone there if there was anything on his back.  The other person said she lifted up his shirt and saw blood on his back, then called EMS.

Police say the shirt had a small slit in the back of it.

The boy was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.  No word on his current condition.

Police are asking for help in identifying a person of interest in this case.
