Local Eats Review: Chris Madrid’s

Based on listener suggestions a couple of weeks ago, Joe and Jason decided to make it a weekly-ish deal to go eat at iconic local spots in San Antonio that one of them have never been too, but we do reserve the right to change the rules as we go and we did on Monday.

We originally planned to go to Diana’s Burgers – they are closed on Mondays. Option two was Los Norteños Pollos Asados – closed Mondays.

Option 3 – back to burgers – Chris Madrid’s – and the rule change. Both of us have eaten at the old Chris Madrid’s but neither of us have been there since the ownership change and fire.

The new Chris Madrid’s is just like the old Chris Madrid’s – walking in, it’s hard to tell it has been completely redone and the food was just like we remembered.

Jason had the popular Cheddar Cheezy while Joe went with the Flaming Jalapeno Cheddar with fries and they had an order of the bean nachos. All of it was fantastic.
