Sculley attends her last City Council meeting

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Outgoing City Manager Sheryl Sculley attended her last City Council meeting Thursday.

The City’s CEO looked back at her favorite accomplishments. They included hiring a high caliber executive staff, the city’s finances and the three largest bond programs in San Antonio’s history.

She thanked all of the people who decided to bring her to San Antonio back in 2005. She also pointed out that her husband, daughter, mother and sister were in attendance. Sculley noted that her husband is more excited about her retirement than she is.

Sculley was emotional during her statement and fought back tears as she thanked city employees, saying it was an honor and a privilege to serve as their leader.

She then received a standing ovation.

Sculley will stay in office until March 1st. That’s when Erik Walsh will take over as new City Manager.
